Team Auditions

Ready to take your training and performance experience to the next level? Our team auditions are designed to identify dedicated dancers who demonstrate strong technique, versatility, performance quality, and a positive attitude.

Dancers will audition in groups separated by age. Final team placement may also consider skill level, maturity, experience, and overall team fit.

During auditions, dancers may be evaluated on:

• Technical efficiency, including alignment, control, strength, flexibility, and execution
• Acrobatic skills appropriate to their experience level
• Choreography combinations in a variety of genres and styles
• Musicality, performance quality, and ability to pick up choreography
• Versatility, focus, confidence, and stage presence
• Teamwork, professionalism, attitude, and responsiveness to corrections

Dancers should only perform acrobatic skills they can execute safely and confidently. Advanced tricks are not required for every team or age division.

Please wear fitted, all-black dance clothing that allows the judges to clearly see body lines and movement. Hair should be neat and secured away from the face. Please keep jewelry and accessories to a minimum.

Bring all dance shoes you currently use, including any applicable:

• Ballet shoes
• Jazz shoes
• Tap shoes
• Hip-hop sneakers

Please arrive with:

• A water bottle
• All required dance shoes
• Any necessary braces, supports, or personal medical items
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Dancers should arrive at least 20–30 minutes before their scheduled audition time to check in, receive an audition number, change shoes, and warm up. Late arrival may limit a dancer’s ability to participate fully.

We are looking for dancers who are hardworking, coachable, dependable, respectful, and excited to contribute to a team environment. Team participation may require regular classes, rehearsals, competitions, performances, conventions, and additional training throughout the season.

Placement decisions are made thoughtfully and are based on the needs of each team. Auditioning does not guarantee placement, and dancers may be placed in the division that best supports their development.

Audition results and next steps will be privately shared with you via email as quickly as possible.
